Sonic the Hedgehog 4

Beast? Based on what? I liked Sonic back in the day, but the games weren't that great, just alright. Plus they were short and had no real replay value to them. Once you beat them, then what?

And if it took them a decade to finally realize that Sonic is only good in 2D, then how good is this effort going to be? Plus the fans are still not happy with this effort either. This is a pass for me.
 
I just watched that video and as someone that can beat the 4.5 Sonic games that matter blindfolded I have to say the flow and the physics in that video are VERY characteristic of the original sonic. There are several possible explanations for why it doesn't look fluid. 1. He's in 3D and in his updated form with about 3 inches of body which just look awkward when you have to see it moving from the side and his original form had barely any sprite movement besides the feet. When people think old school they think about fat sonic. Whats more is that the video looked like a scrub was playing it since EVERY old school sonic would look exactly like that when a scrub picked it up. He runs into shit and randomly jumps which stops him from moving. Also the person was probably new to the level and any retro sonic fan knows that when a level is new it will FUCK YOU UP if you try to blast through it. Also keep in mind that this is an alpha build. I am excited by this it looks just like retro sonic to me.
