Darnit, you beat me to this thread.
I was really skeptical about their designs and this new turn when I first saw the image of their shadows a few months back, but I can say now that I actually enjoy it, aside from Knuckles...
But the game trailer looks pretty sweet from what I saw. I think this could be a step in the right direction as long as they change Knuckles. But you can't say that SEGA doesn't give their mascot and his game some variety, unlike other companies... (Mario).
Also, was I the only one who got a Ratchet and Clank feeling from the game trailer?
