No it is not the weakest. SC4 is a bit of a recovery over it's predecessor. In SC3 there were a lot of balance issues; certain characters got toned down a little too much when itz not even necessary.
Also SC3 did not make it to EVO unlike SC4 which is going to.
As for their focus online, I had to disagree with you there. Many casual fans have been bitching and whinning about the lack of online play the past series didn't have. Now with the technology PS3 and Xbox 360 has, Namco is able to fulfil their wishes; however, they didn't do anything extra to make the overal online exp any better. Namco adds online just to satisfy that audience.
I would say SC3 was the worst of all the series and SC4 is a bit of a recovery from the mistakes they made in SC3. Sure there is room for improvement but as long as this game is well balanced itz mainly what matters to me as a competitive gamer.
