Also when putting in my buttons I discovered the hidden layer of madcats quality. Up top the glue that holds the screws broke and now the screws free spin...THEN on the bottom the screws were already worn and after only undoing and rescrewing them once they're stripped.
My corners act funny and sometimes drop input and i cant get into the damn thing to swap out the stick or replace broken microswitches.
Sorry to hear about your stick. You gotta be careful when opening anything up, whether its the stick or some electronic device and make sure you actually removed all screws before pulling it apart. I dont understand what you mean by the glue because I didnt see any glue that holds any screws (why would there be glue, its a screw?). Also if you're stripping screws, you're using the wrong size screw driver, or in this case torx wrench/driver. If the bit is too small or too big, you're gonna strip them. You'll need to replace them with a similar one from a local hardware shop if they're already worn out. If the screw is stuck, then you're gonna need to drill into the screw head to get it out. MadCatz did an alright job in terms of quality so I wouldnt blame them. My only complaint would be that corner metal bracket near the JLF could have been done better. Anyways, hope it isnt too bad. Should be a simple fix.
