SF4 or SF2HD?

It's faster, original ST sprites look better, the music is better, street fighter 2's system is hand's down one of the most beautiful fighting systems in existence as far as design goes. Yes, there is a comparison...

Don't really get the music is better. Both just have remixed SF2 soundtracks. SF4 probably wins just for the sake of having neural songs associated with the stages too. More = better. ;)

I actually prefer the original SF2 soundtrack. I haven't played with remixed graphics or sound in forever, lol.

HDR Remixes > SFIV Remixes hands down IMO.

My favorite track out of the entire ST soundtrack was Cammy's theme and OC-Remix remastered her theme to the point of perfection in HDR. Capcom's remix of Cammy's theme is SFIV was huge disappointment, specially after having heard how well OC-Remix did with her theme remix in HDR. I rate her original ST theme higher than her SFIV remix.

Granted, SFIV does have some nice original tunes. I like Seth's and C. Viper's themes (mostly because they both slightly resemble the composer's earlier work in Chaos Legion) and I also like the USA Diner Stage theme (even though it doesn't quite fit with the stage itself). The Overpass Stage theme isn't that bad either.

However, as far as character theme remixes go, HDR easily takes it. SFIV tanked in that department. Don't know what exactly possessed them to completely fuck over Fei-Long's theme either.

SFIV > SF2HDR

It does more for the SF franchise in terms of game mechanics than HDR.

Not to mention there are several aspects about ST that I've always hated. One is the fact that you cannot negate the damage from a throw even if you see it coming (ie throw breaking). The most you can do is reduce the damage meaning throw damage is guaranteed no matter what. Another thing I don't like is the random-ness in the dizzy system. It's not consistent like in 3S and IV (even though the dizzy bar is not visible in IV).

HDR was a nice appetizer, but SFIV is the main course. The only thing I like about HDR over IV is the soundtrack.

wow you have to clue

edit
