SFIV > SF2HDR
It does more for the SF franchise in terms of game mechanics than HDR.
Not to mention there are several aspects about ST that I've always hated. One is the fact that you cannot negate the damage from a throw even if you see it coming (ie throw breaking). The most you can do is reduce the damage meaning throw damage is guaranteed no matter what. Another thing I don't like is the random-ness in the dizzy system. It's not consistent like in 3S and IV (even though the dizzy bar is not visible in IV).
HDR was a nice appetizer, but SFIV is the main course. The only thing I like about HDR over IV is the soundtrack.
