SF4 Fightpad for SC4?

Hey guys. I am looking to pick up SF4 and a MadCatz Fightpad.

I have played SC4 with the 360 controller and don't particularly like. Is the Street fighter oriented fightpad adequate to play SC4 with? Or would I be better getting a generic set of sticks?

Playing SF4 on a pad kinda sucks. I'd go for a decent stick if you want to buy a controller specifically for fighting games.
