Hi all, I am a new member here, firstly nice to meet you all :D
I have played fighting games all my life, I have played all the soulblade/edge/calibur games and personally I feel this game (5) was a massive let down :(
I just wanted some feedback from you guys on the following points that "I" feel are bad:
@ the customisation is lacking in terms of content.. I am level 45 and still must be missing most of it because there is hardly anything to chose from :/
@ the customisation equipment is all out of scale, its far too big for most characters, like it hangs about half a meter from the actual body of the person..it looks stupid
@ too many moves leave your character in a state of "stun" in which you cannot block or recover in any way, this is even more horrible when a wall is involved - you can easily loose more then 60% your HP in one "combo"(I use the word lightly as its dumb)
@ several moves are completely abusable like the devil Jin uppercut that can link to itself 4 times in a row...WTF is up with that, or the 3 moves from Alpha style Patrokles which can be spammed repeatably (the dash, the uppercut and the low sweep)
@ the movement system now leads to you often mixing up (reversing back to opponent) yourself just by entering moves from run commands... this is very stupid, all you have to do is quick step then do an 8-way-run move and it can happen
@ the hard AI is more then frustrating when it does impossible reaction moves that no player can do because the button combinations disrupt eachother
@ the *new* soul special moves are game breaking "cut Scene insta-death moves" they happen in a cutscene which completely destroys the flow of the game and allows otherwise impossible retaliations from a massive frame disadvantage... its so bad that someone who can properly abuse this can FORCE you to guard constantly as the second you try to move or attack you are hit with this single frame attack...
@ the range of Throws is now so short that you must dash into an opponent to reliably perform a throw that can reach, which makes it a very weak element of the fighting system now and easy to stop by spamming Horizontal low attack/Horizontal attack
I really am losing faith in new games, they seem to be getting worse not better, Soulblade was better then this version in my opinion. Anyone else noticed any of these faults or spotted others?
