Ive many great loves. 1 is poetry. Another is Latin. And i almost always greet people with "salve!"
Even in real life... it gets quite the reaction.

What's not to love about the decadent Romans? Of course, I don't go around busting out Latin on strangers. Not because it ain't gangsta, and not even because I cling to social norms or the notion that language which communicates nothing is wasted. Nope, it's mostly because I don't want anybody to "be well."

salve is one of the few things i remember from 3 years of latin in high school. definitely true on the whole dont use it you lose it saying.
