the most annoying part is when you wanna counter 'em but you're just outside counter range but they still nom your face! just practice countering them a bit alone on urban chaos and you'll get used to it.

Oh but I already figure out a nice way, Ada crossbow quick shot impale them in the ground after that a single mele kill them.

If you strafe them sideways away and forward you can actually be outside their attacks hitbox but inside counter range, it's pretty useful, especially if you aren't too good at the counter yet.

Thats good for emergencies but you want to try to counter them for the time when possible.
