you better knock on wood my friend. every single person that I know that has played an xbox 360, has had a problem. I havent met 1 person till just now that hasnt

I used to be you Cha. After a year and a half, I just got my xbox back (replaced) after getting the red rings. Gotta love how they use cheap metal in the motherboard circuits.

Microsoft just started using a new chipset for 360's that supposedly fixes the ring of death issue. The new chipsets started hitting stores sometime late November I think?

Can't remember the details, but there was a story about it on 1up not too long ago.
