Im still not buying into 2 of todays new slang words..

#1. "Fap". Seriously, theres a gillion words that mean this already. Was this really needed?

#2. "Salty". I feel like everytime i see someone use this phrase, they should have a very limp wrist, sipping tea with thier pinky in the air.

Im morally opposed to using these words. And if im elected president this november, i promise to ban these words!

I can only say certain slang if it sounds okay. Salty and fapping isn't too bad of a slang term since I'm used to it. Eventually, I'll end up saying them less as "off the chain" to me was 90s. "Tight" was probably 2000s and up. What I'm saying is I'll eventually grow out of them.

Slang is like fashion trends. My dad still says "off the chain" and "tight" when he finds something cool. I used to say those frequently, but saying "that's pretty cool" or "that's intriguing" suits me better. I can never be like those "supposedly cool dudes of today" and say "Dat shit fire right there" however. It sounds so obnoxious.

What gets me riled up is when certain people are mostly slang, internet, meme talk, and street talk with hardly any substance to mention words like dogmatic. I kid you not, I said something like "that Bentley is a bit too gaudy for me" and some guy thought gaudy meant godlike. I was astonished. What made me facepalm more, was he tried to use it to sound smart, but failed miserably.

Sure talk the way you do, but goodness. Sometimes, I feel like I won't meet many people who actually take time to expand their vocabulary.
