My FJ got 17 city and 21 hwy until I added

More rotational weight (larger tires with a lot more rubber)
a lift (decreasing any aerodynamics that might have been achieved in wind tunnel testing)
a cold air intake (more hp, less gas mileage)
and a snorkel (again, ram air increases power, less fuel economy).
1/4" steel skid plates and rock rails (more weight)
Gas cans on the roof don't help either

Now I get about 16 mpg highway. :(

The FJ's aren't all that bad on gas... about 16 city MPG.

Whereas, my car gets 17 MPG on average in the city.

Of course, my car has a 32 valve Northstar V8.
