A fight stick is that large flat deal with buttons on one side and a stick on the other.

A pad is a hand-held console controller.

Fight sticks > pad

That way you won't have to go through the trouble of synching your controllers

Yeah stick is better than pad, its just going through that awkward phase where you first learn how to use the stick that's a pain in the ass.

Not that I'm an apple fan, hate their trendster image with a burning passion, but I find it hard to laugh at cancer.

An interesting read from a little while ago on the idea of Jobs leaving apple, as written by an EA co-founder who used to work with Jobs.
