But yeah Sony's never been great about fixing consoles, hell there's no telling what Microsoft's long term track record will be with that either. Them fixing so many RRoD's for free is probably a result of the bad press they got for having so many faulty systems. But considering how little press Sony's gotten for their fuck ups, who knows?

Sometimes I've heard you can fight them for a free replacement, you might try calling back a few times before you agree to pay the 150.
