Queen's Blade Thread

This show is terrible, as are most shows of it's kind. The only thing it has is a huge budget so the quality is pretty good.

There's already multiple seasons and OVAs of this show

Well, I think this season doesn't have much budget, so its pretty lame in technical terms too. The designs and the HD make it look good on "static images" but action scenes are quite low in animation.

I share tyour opinion, most shows of it's kind are terrible. The worst thing is the idea that it could be better. Well, of course it could never be a masterpiece but only making the series a bit more...I don't know, serious, it would be...less terrible.

Qwaser. Ikki Tousen, Maken Ki, Hikken Chou, Freezing, QB...all have the same problem, you see the first one or two episodes and you think "great may be is stupid but it has sex, action, blood, drugs and rock and roll!!!" but then it becomes only "bad puns about tits".
 
Well i believe that any show of any genre CAN be fantastic, it's just hard. This genre makes it even more difficult.

But most of these shows all try different things. For one, and i believe QB does this part right, is understand what you are and go all out. This show is an all female action show with clothes being torn apart at all times SO there should be nudity, don't try and do this random shit covering the body stuff. Ikki Tousen tried that and even they eventually brought out the nudity 3 seasons in, so just go for it.
Qwaser took everything a step further and made the sexy perverted stuff part of the story, yet tried their damndest to keep it serious which worked for a bit, especially with the shows high quality and good fights, but at some point you can't keep a straight face man.

All that being said i think something like Sekirei does it best where they don't blow everything on the budget, yet still have a high quality show, great fights which IS important for an action show, nudity when they feel like it but not overbearing and is both serious and lighthearted. Good mixture overall for that one.
 
I was actually at Otakon in Baltimore the first time I saw that episode in one of the theaters in the convention center. The whole audience busted out laughing when she squirted those things. When they blew up they erupted, I just sat there with my mouth open and "WTF?!?!?" ringing in my head as I tried to make sense of what happened. O_o :)
