Public 8WAYRUN Questions

@Quinion I see your point. Let's hope CaptainHook reads this and tries to change his approach. If not then oh well, but people do make mistakes sometimes so that's why I think we should try and be understanding when people act this way. There is a possibility that some people aren't all that bad but they just can't handle the veiws of the web in a proper way. Hopefully he understands that his opinions aren't always right and so on. Then again some people should just stay off the internet if they can't handle it. Having a know it all mindset will only bring suffering to themselves in the long run, any smart person would learn eventually that it is not the right way. It's good to be confident in what you know, but it is also very important to be versatile and capable of open mindedness. Without these qualities one will ultimately fail in an online discussion.

@Pocky-Yoshi

Do you sometimes find yourself at odds with the FG culture in general? Or better yet, gaming culture? I only ask because you seem to be one of the more level-headed/mature people around here who doesn't really get caught up in the drama and bullshit. Kids these days can't seem to handle dissenting opinions.

I view games the same way I view art: in the eye of the beholder. There is no such thing as objective truth when it comes to "which game is teh best".

I find myself at odds with gamers in general, but especially true with FGers.

I'm here for you man.

Through any situation, I prefer remain neutral, taking no sides except my own. That way, I can avoid making errors with my judgement. Unfortunately, there are times where one side is clearly wrong, so I can't maintain my neutral status forever.

I seek to get along with as many people as possible while being myself. To my knowledge, I haven't made any enemies on this website. Sadly, there will always be someone I can't get along with.

Well I for one appreciate what you do on the forums. It's a good thing to be yourself. And like you said, it will never be possible to not annoy at least one person. Can never make everyone happy.

In general, people will be people.

I got no problem with FGers. Sure some aren't my cup of tea, but I rather make the most out of it by being me and getting along.
