PSN DOWN WTF?!1

CNET Reported they received a note from an observer of the IRC channel the hacker group will launch an massive attack on PSN next week. I recommend everyone change their credit card numbers and bank info etc. Some ppl ain't sweating it though i hear they say it's pretty fun outside of PSN also. The weather is getting real nice who wants too be locked up in the house gaming all day....

We will be offering PSN users the opportunity to select two PS3 games from a list of five, as well as offering PSP users the opportunity to choose two games from a list of four. We will let you know exactly what games are available very soon.

Where was this? And what is this?

you know.. i gotta say.. just posting the news on the blog.. is freakin weak. especially when there are game journalism sites out there. this news should be given to all relevant spaces, not just the blog. this news should be in Variety on gamasutra, eurogamer, ign, gamespot... hell kotaku even. most if not all are just getting this information from the blog. and that's just weak.

i'm sorry. but, that's just wrong. hell, at least send me an email where i can find relevant information quickly.

having said that...
this network outage doesn't really affect me anyway since i don't really play online nor care to.. it's more my information then anything. not really bothered by the credit card thing but my email, address, and name... that's something to be more interested about.

Hmm this isn't really "news", everyone knew that already. This is a part of the "Welcome back" program, they just specified some info about the free downloadable content which will be included on top of the free PSN+ subscription. When they release the details of the program I'm sure every major gaming site will get it.

For most people the worst thing is that they keep updating the blog with useless info on PSN status. They do it just for the sake of updating and letting people know that they're doing something but not giving any details.
