DRM has been present throughout the entirety of the current console generation. Just because it doesn't directly effect someone this gen doesn't make it any better. The pitch forks should've been raised a long time ago. By a long time ago I mean Steam.

They've been raised for a long time. It's the reason why I can't even copy my Assassin's Creed 2 savefile to my portable HDD (way back from 2009). The fact DRM is being developed into a system is why people are so pissed off. It constitutes the idea that we don't own the things we buy; they're being lent to us.

It is already developed into quite a few systems as evidenced by your experience with AC2 but I'm sure this is considered trolling of some form so I'll drop it.

I don't buy DLC much, and at least that usually doesn't require you to be online to play it.

What everyone hates IS the DRM, that is the complaint, not their potential game pricing. It also looks like games will be the same price for America anyway so I don't see what there is to complain about there for game pricing anyway...

1) You need an internet connection to buy the DLC in the first place, so clearly being online isn't a big task.

2) As Reave said, DRM has been in our gaming PCs for over a decade, now it's suddenly a big deal? Everyone here has an internet connection, and everyone here plays online.

3) And if a person has an internet connection so terrible, so poor that they can't sign in 1 minute per 24 hours, then I'm glad I don't have to play with their lag-tastic connections. Let them go buy a PS4 and host migrate the hell out of their CoD servers and D/C soul calibur matches. I don't want those people buying Xbox One's anyways, lol.

We need to have a shiny disc to prove we own it, simply buying a license for a game isn't enough.
