PS3 wont work on a CRT TV?

Been having a blast with my new ps3 on my bad ass HDTV.

But the wife keeps nagging at me "I wanna watch TV....whaaa whaaa whaaa"

So last night, I take the ps3 to my room where I have the CRT going. I plug it in and......Nothing. Checking things, unplugging this, re-plugging in things, looking for switches....nothing!! Hook up my old xbox to make sure it wasnt just me....xbox works fine.

And yes, its the new slim fancy model ps3

Someone knows something I dont....HELP ME!!!

Power down the PS3... press and hold the PS3 power button for 5 seconds until you hear a SECOND beep.

That will reset the video. The PS3 is better this way, it doesn't change settings without your permission... but because of this, its harder to move it from TV to TV.
