pokemon-best and worst generation

I recently started to play pokemon platinum over again and i thought about all the generations of pokemon so far. My favorites would be gen1 and 3, then 4 and 2. Cant say i really liked gen 5 all that much. Anyway, i just wanted to know which generation was your favorite and your least? Also, are you excited about pokemon black and white 2?
 
Never was a competitive Pokemon player, but I've played through every generation. Imo, Gen 1 will always be the best. It was what made my childhood, after all. Gen 2 and Gen 3 would build on what Gen 1 had, Gen 4 had a couple of interesting Pokemon - Lucario in particular - who was to be my permanent main onwards.

Gen 5 was kinda a hit-and-miss. Some of the pokemon were pretty dodgy ( I loled hard at the Ice Cream Pokemon, a scoop of vanilla evolves into a ice cream done, then evolves into a giant cone with 2 vanilla scoops), and most of the legendaries look pretty dull and uninspiring.

Couldnt agree more on gen1 being the best, gen 5 had some wierd pokemon, more than half i disliked. We will be seeing some flying apple pokemon by gen 6......
