To be honest, with all the indie games released nowdays in old school fashion there is no better moment to be nostalgic.

I mean how can someone miss old style games when you open the store and you have dozens new old style games thrown at your face?

This may seem odd, but I really don't like the Cool Retro Pixel Art(TM) trend (assuming that's what you were referring to, NeclordX). I understand its popularity with indie devs as it cuts out the time and expense of hiring artists. Frankly though, a lot of them look really shoddy, even for pixel art. As a guy that was playing video games when pixel art was all the devs had, Cool Retro Pixel Art(TM) comes off as a false nostalgia - and a cheap gimmick.

Besides, I really like game visuals. I enjoy seeing what graphics artists can deliver within their various budgets and toolsets available. Gameplay is king, but graphics is queen... at least for me.

I'll jump in on this one. Late af but oh well. XD
I started off my gaming with the good original Gameboy. I kept stealing it from my brother. Playing Double Dragon and Tetris was the shit. XD
Next stage for me was the Super Nintendo. Playing Mario Kart, Secret of Evermore, Super Mario World, the ORIGINAL Killer Instinct, Mega Man, Chrono Trigger, and of course we can't forget Zelda: A Link To The Past, especially that gold cartridge.
Then I was fortunate enough to finally get a Playstation. Top game everyone raved about, at least for me was Legend of Dragoon. Just because the storyline was grand.
A couple years later, I took a step back in time and got a Nintendo 64. Oracle of Time was where it was at with that. AND SMASH BROS!!
Never got bored with Smash Bros. It was always fun to me.
Finally, I was able to get a PS2. Played the shit out of SC II and SC III. Still was the best kid in my neighborhood. XD But that was about it. Kept that PS2 for years, and years. Then it broke down.
After a long time, I finally got an Xbox 360. Jumped into SC IV and played that like crazy (At least till SC V came out). Along with Oblivion, Halo with the friends.
Then I finally lost my 360, had a PS3 and that ate the dust fast. .-.
Now here I am at the age of 22 with a PS4. I've been fortunate enough to play some old school arcade games, and I did get to play on an Atari. And I can say, gaming as definitely come a long way.
