I stumbled across this list of the top 100 anime and I gotta says I feel like a lot of stuff is WAY outa place!

http://darkdiamond.net/web-notes/top-100-anime-of-japan/

Wheres Trigun?

Wheres Ronin Warriors?

Wheres Tenchi?

Wheres Escaflowne?

Where Hjime No Ippo?

Why is Inuyasha above Ranma 1/2?

Why is Bleach above Nauro and one Piece (or for that matter, even on the list)

Why Isn't Mai-HiME at least in the top 20?
Trigun was good, but I agree that the manga was better.

What's Ronin Warriors?

Tenchi was good, but so many spinn-off series made it confusing.

Escaflowne confused me as well, but for a different reason. The manga and anime are totally different.

Yeah, why isn't Hijime No Ippo up there?

Inuyasha was long, repetitive, and boring, IMO. Even the long haired "boy-toys" couldn't save them. At least, that's what I thought. Surprise!

I honestly don't like having shonen manga-turned-anime even on the list because it's lengthy with so many fillers. The Bleach manga is, as always, superior to the anime. What I don't get is how Naruto got so popular. That's just my opinion.

I have no opinion on Mai-Hime

Honestly, the fact that FMA is number 1 pisses me off. I hated that series. To each his/her own, eh?

Hajime no Ippo was cancelled. The anime wasnt that popular.

It was brought back because the manga IS that popular.
There's no wonder why it's not there.

The Ippo anime was tight, but it doesn't look special upon first glance so I guess that's why it never took off. Everyone who's seen the show agrees that it's good. I'm glad it's back now and didn't compromise on quality & feel.

#1 and 2 on that list are FMA and Eva, fucking hell. I guess it's useful in a way as a mental study.
