I stopped reading Bleach right before that stupid three year long battle crap started, and i've never looked back. I wish I had stopped reading it sooner, to be honest.

i never got into bleach. it was way too main stream and with me being a formal Yu-Yu Hakusho (spirit detective) fan bleach was just a knockoff of that. been there seen that thing comes into play.

It's weird, Bleach and a few other anime's I didn't care for. Sure I didn't like them and some flat out were horrid, but (at least Funimation) had pretty good voice acting.

You should, it was quite a ride, i don't wanna spoil anything, but by the time your done with it, you'll realize being a merchant isn't as simple as most people think, i sure as hell didn't realize how they talk and make or break deals.

Also the two main characters are quite a pair lol.

Just started Spice and Wolf, I have a question, does Holo remain that vain throughout the entire series?

Spice and Wolf seasons I and II were outright amazing to, i don't even have the words to describe what they are exactly. i rarely give out 5 stars on Netflix or in general anything but that series deserved it.

I can get behind this as I've been boosting this show for a while now.

I've been watching a lot of Hell Girl lately. The ending theme is truly a beautiful song. I've liked a lot of anime themes mind you, but I haven't liked one in quite the same way as this since the Loddoss TV opening.

As for the show itself, it's alright. Some of the people however could really solve their grievances by other means if they just put in the effort. The main failing seems to be a lack of faith in one's self.

I gotta rant about something and I figured this was the best place to do it. I read the newest Bleach manga when it came out this week and one little detail has had me fuming since then. I apologize to anyone who hasn't read it or is waiting for the anime episode.

Allow me to present Ichigo's new Banki form after regaining his powers-

W.......T........F?!?!?!?
I loved his origional Bankai design and the version he had when fighting Aizen was uber-wicked in my book, but this thing is just ridiculous. The main problem I have is the sword, one of the coolest things about his old Bankai to me was how the sword looked like an ordinary sword but contained so much power and whatnot. All the other Bankai were huge monstrosities and his went in the opposite direction for a unique effect. It's still smaller than other Bankai but I don't like what they did with the spikes and extended length, the older style just looked alot sleeker than this thing. He better have some crazy ass new power to go with it or I'm gonna be pissed. Also the crapload of crossed fabric is way overboard.

I don't know what to think about the crossed fabric, then again I didn't like Rukia's new hair do when I first saw it either. A couple of different angles, some time for adjustment and now I'm fine with it. I say give it a month and see how you feel about it then. One thing I will say against the new look though is I did prefer the old sword more. It's the length of the blade that's the issue for me. A longer blade requires more room so this looks inherently harder to use because of that.

As for Bleach itself I still like it a lot. But I like western comic books. Those go on forever, have huge rosters of characters, elaborate muddled plots, multiple arcs, romances that don't move for a decade, character's balancing real life concerns with super hero business and are chalk full of fights. I never really had a preconceived set of notions about how a manga is "supposed" to behave. People complaining about how things are "supposed" to go just seem so pretentious to me. Then again, western comics aren't for everyone. I'm sure a lot of people who started Bleach were expecting it to wrap up faster.

Truth be told though I like the characters and could stand to see more character development and less fighting in between. A lot of the best moments come from dialogues and if you fought less the plot would move quicker. Then again the other manga I follow is Berserk. And by comparison to Berserk Bleach moves like a cheetah.

They probably don't end them when they should because they are too popular. If you read Bakuman (which is about two young mangakas as they progress through the buisness) then it shows how the Jump magazines over in Japan have questionaires with each issue that goes out, the series that get the most votes are kept going and the ones that are the least popular are cancelled and given so many weeks to wrap it up so they can bring a new series in.

And yeah the crossed fabric doesn't seem too bad on second glance, I think they had kept his hands uncovered instead of gloved like that it would have been a good amout.

The thing is I actually really like the way his new shikai looked-

After seeing that I was pumped to see what his Bankai would be like and the dissapointment was a bit much after that. I was expecting more with the chain since it was on his shikai now, guess it still could be since we havn't seen his right arm too well yet.
