I recently learned that two new series of "Slayers" were made, called Slayers Revolution and Evolution-R... wtf is that shit?

Boring, the story was stupid, not enough funny moments... they ruin the good name of this great anime ._.

No wonder I don't watch any animes nowadays. I put my hopes in Evangelion: Quickening, though.

I only like Slayers and Slayers Next. Slayers Try is ass and I haven't watched the newer ones. Watch Rune Soldier if you haven't, it's very Slayers like and it is actually good.

I feel bad for doing it, but I'm one of those 'the manga is better' people in regards to Deadman Wonderland. I'm sure that I would've enjoyed it had I not known what was going to happen next, but yeah, the spoilers don't have as much of an impact. That and the art/animation isn't as good as the manga (censors don't help the cause either).

Slayers Try was sooooo bad.

I'm only mid way through Revolution, but it's so much better than try it allows me to keep going. Plus the animation is really good, better than any other Slayers outside of the movies. Which are also pretty good, if you like Naga. The biggest problem Revolution has so far are the new animal character, who is lame, and the constant flat jokes, which are meh. Other than that, the episodes are more self-contained, and the overall story has taken a back seat. No 2-3 episode DBZ fights, which is good; the action in the original Slayers series was awful, boring, and not fun to watch. Now the action is alright and animated well enough that it doesn't become annoying.

Also, they got almost all of the old English cast back, so that's nice.
