A couple of my friends have been watching TWGOK and the impressions are quite good so far. I'll probably pick it up some time.

As for the Miku vid, never underestimate the power level of otaku. With that said, I totally would've enjoyed that concert. To the band's credit, they were actually playing live. It's basically like a Gorillaz concert minus live vocals.

The movie was horrible. It wasn't a recap episode because UBW is a completely different arc from the Fate arc that was the focus of the tv series. That it struck you as a recap arc at all is extremely problematic.

The main focus of the arc, Tohsaka, got none of the focus she deserved. To the point that the ending of the movie wasn't even the same as the ending in the actual game because the relationship between Tohsaka and Emiya just didn't exist.

The plot was inconsistent and would have made no sense if you didn't already know everything going on because they just kept skipping so many things. No explanation of command seals, no explanation of Tohsaka's gem, no explanation of what was up with Ilyasviel, and pretty much no explanation of anything important. If you consider that people watching this are either, A) fans of the original game, or B) people who aren't familiar with F/SN except perhaps the anime, this is extremely problematic. The fans of the original are going to hate it because it did so many things wrong, and people unfamiliar with F/SN will just not be able to appreciate what's going on.

The only people who can appreciate this movie, I feel, are those that already know the entire plot. But the problem is, so many of the reasons why one would like the original are just missing, left for the viewer to fill in by himself. If all you needed to enjoy the movie was have animated fight scenes and one or two shots of fan service, then maybe you could enjoy it. Anyone who actually cared about story telling though, which was what made the original so good, should have no other view except that the movie was fatally flawed.

Yep not bad at all lol.

TWGOK is amazing indeed. I'm also watching everything else lol. Shinryaku is great, Princess Jellyfish is intersting.

Pre-orders for the Rin figure are up. Around $80, so maybe a little less than $100 after shipping, provided USD doesn't keep plummeting. I don't plan on getting her 'cause my bank account has been raped enough; mostly just 'window-shopping'. Hopefully my next paycheck will provide some significant padding for the next time I decide to splurge on figures.

Also, yes, Squid Girl is a pretty awesome good show de geso~

I'm starting to like Shiki more. The first half was like one absolutely awesome episode after every three/four really slow and uninteresting episodes. It's actually consistently compelling now, and the different side-stories are actually managing to be relevant and cohesive with everything else that's going on with the show too.

Ore no Imouto is anime of the season.

I stopped reading the ore no imouto manga after a few chapters cause I couldn't figure out what it was trying to be genre wise. Maybe I'll try the anime

it's slice of life with anime fans. The anime made it seem like an incest denial anime btu swiftly threw that out the window and it's just funny now.
