Unless you were Voldo. Besides, CEs are not 1 hit round enders, they are a tool you sacrifice resources to use. Remember too, this resource is one you share for BEs as well. There isn't a character who can just "throw them out" despite what you believe.
 
Well if you are throwing out a random CE (unless you are Devil Jin) you can get launch punished so idk what else you would want them to weaken. It isn't like you can get mixed up by them. All they can really do is frame trap or be used in combos assuming you have the meter. The problematic CE is Aeon's since it doesn't function properly. Alpha's is good towards the end of a round for a panic 2A combo or block punish since it only does 55 damage. Viola's is good but the meter is better spent on B+K BE or 44A BE. Plus you have to set up the orb close to them and they can't be on the ground. If I remember right getting caught in the air at certain heights can make her combos drop too. They aren't over-powered I think. What makes those characters top tier are other things.

And for some characters, why would i sacrifice my meter if I can only get a max of this much dmg while another can use their CE and get double the dmg and it's safer. If i was a.pat, my CE has less risk being thrown out compared to Zwei Kappa
And i loathe the invincibility frames.

The main thing is that CE is a new mechanic that doesn't introduce much to the gameplay. BE I'm fine with and actually like, CE just doesn't make sense to me, especially since it's considered a super move but it's terrible for some characters or doesn't work properly. If they keep it fine, but balance it more. If they remove it then yay. I don't see the benefits of having it in the game, I just see disparity and meh flashiness

Consider BEs like Dampierre's 6B BE and Cervantes's 22A BE (both launch punishable on hit), Aeon's SW BE, and ZWEI's 66A BE. These are terrible or don't work properly. How can you object to CEs on those grounds but be fine with BEs?

(Edit: I'm not arguing against BEs or CEs.)
