Need help dealing with 360 Madcatz PCBs

Tried making any dual-stick customs recently? I got another MadCatz 360 PCB, but found that I couldn't use the test pads for RT and LT; they're not there anymore. Know how else to get LT and RT functional? My friend did some tracing on the board to find alternate points; we're crossing our fingers now and hoping we don't fry the crap out of my test laptop.

Unfortunately, I can't take any pics right now, but I'll try. Thoughts? Or did you make one recently and do it differently than Toodles' walkthroughs?
 
Found that post; it's old. Unless they updated it with new generations of MadCatz PCBs, I've seen the thread already. That's how we built our first few customs; when we tried to build more, we found the PCBs are different from all the pictures posted before.
 
can't really help you without knowing the exact model ignis. you try using 10k ohm resistors on the pot points and solderong directly to there?
 
I think that's going to be the next thing we do, but I was hoping someone else knew a workaround.

What points would I solder the resister to? I've never done that, and only used the test points on the 360 PCBs...
