Magic the Gathering Thread

Heyas
Been playing MTG for a couple years started with Standard and Drafting.

Now I solely play the Commander/EDH format. Always looking for other people to swap tech with or even meet up for games.

Used to play online, but opted to sell off my online collection and build some of my decks in paper.
My current favorite Commander deck built in the real is my Ghave, Guru of Spores deck.

Judging by how much I've enjoyed the video game I could totally get into this if I was willing to make the investment. Of course, a friend tried to show me how to play years ago and I learned there are some bat shit stupidly imbalanced deck builds/overpowered cards out there that the video game mercifully omits.

Of course his collection was huge (as yours probably is). If you can recall a card about a bard who boosts his allies stats he actually designed it by submitting the winning entry in a contest, so into the game was he at one point in time.

Yeah I only play Magic on my PS3 atm, no way I can afford to pour hundreds into a awesome (physical)deck to really play, lol

My Aunts BF played, he spent like 500 on one deck.
Though, he kicked the entire city's ass with that deck, he was pretty infamous too.
All I remember is that he was using a Red deck.
