You should be fine with either but I prefer WD's hard drives over Seagates. I have WD's in all of my computers and they're still going strong. And more people bought the WD drive over the Seagate drive so that was the other reason why I went with that one. I hope I get mine by Wednesday so I can go through the install and actually put some stuff on my PS3. I have tons of shit I wanted to put on there but couldn't because I was running low on space, and now I won't have to use an external HDD.
I wouldn't get a 7200 RPM drive for a PS3. And I am looking at those drives now and I don't see much of a difference that justifies paying an extra $15 over the WD that I just bought. Anyway, I have been long overdue with swapping out this weak ass 40GB drive so I can't wait. I'm also going to photograph the process as well.
