How's it going?
I'm new to 8WR and am planning on taking SC5 very seriously at a competitive level. I am not new to the series, nor am I totally new to the community. I used to post on Calibur Forum a few years ago, but I made the jump to SRK when I started playing 2D more often.
Well, to introduce myself: I'm a high school English teacher from northwest Indiana. For the past few years, I have been a part of the SRK Chicago tournament scene, and I have run a small weekly gathering at my house for local players of various fighting games. In 2009, I managed to place 3rd in Soul Calibur IV at Midwest Championsships. In the past few months, I have been playing MvC3/UMvC3 and faring somewhat well in tournaments.
If you live near Chicago, specifically the South Side or NWI, please shoot me a message. I love offline competition, since I almost never play games online. The crew I hang out with is full of great players, although not too many of them are into Soul Calibur, yet.
