I got this in the mail the other day. I'm not so sure about the "not needing a wired 360 controller" bit though. It didn't work until I stuck my wired 360 stick in there for lack of a wired controller. After that that however, I could unplug the stick and the converter continued to work without it.

One issue I've been having is spontaneous ghost inputs putting me in the Xbox menu, taunting, or B+King. Once it taunted and instantly took me to the Xbox menu rage quiting me out of the last round of a player match into the 360's dashboard. This can happen without my stick or PS2 controller plugged into the converter. It doesn't happen every session though, if it's happening I'll just reset the console and it'll work fine.

There's a Korean made converter by Etokki as well that would be worth trying, my friends that have them are very happy with the results.

EDIT: only works with PS1/2 equipment, but PS1 pads were the best anyway. They've gotten progressively worse with each model.

You like me got a different converter. Yours is black am I right? The correct one is gray and works as advertised.

I think I ordered 2 about the same time from that link. I got a refund. Because the black ones are worth far less.
