Yeah the wrong are 4 notes, but the last is slightly lower than the third chime I think. Correct answers get 3 chimes.

I got a bit of a complaint though. I just finished the last homicide case and the ending ticked me off royally. It was probably the most interesting of all the cases in that you had to do something different and then they go and do THAT to you. Totally unfair to Mr. Phelps.

Without giving too much away, there are so many plot holes in that story arc that you could sail a battleship through 'em. The idea is pretty cool, but probably could have been better executed.
