Introductions to the 8WAYRUN

Welcome to 8WR! Good luck on getting a console. When you do - training is boring and redundant but it's the best way to get down muscle memory for the moves you're trying to perform. Just be patient and staple a pillow on the wall to throw your remote at once in a while. It's cheaper that way. ;)

*Laughs* Thanks! You know, I never seem to be able to rage when it comes to training mode; Granted, I'm the type of guy who can spend hours alone in practicing combos, learning about the timing on mix-ups and "Practical" unblockable attacks etc. etc....

When it comes to actual MATCHES, on the other hand... Something like this usually ends up happening:

Let's hope you don't become like that haha. Welcome and hope to see you around.

Yeah... The thing is, while I'm not stupid enough to do any kind of physical harm over a videogame, I am by nature a relatively competitive person. Put it another way, my emotions can get the better of me at times, which can lead to me to "Pop-Off" at some people (Though I've never gotten arrested or sent to the hospital over it like certain Marvel players have).

Most of the time, I lash out in frustration over my own failings/lack of game knowledge rather than what my opponent does. However, if someone were to, say, get three consecutive ring-outs on me when it looked as though I was going to win each round? Of course I'm going to "Get Salty"; I've found it's extremely rare to find a player that DOESN'T get upset over losing or the possibility of losing (Case-in-Point: Watching my "Fighting Game Buddy" play online and get 4 consecutive "Rage Quits" on SCV).

I will take your wisdom in stride Yoshi!

Yup, training is the best way to start getting your extended combos down. Also, lag may cause your combos to drop online, especially if you have to input a JF.
Rage and frustration are parts of the game! And while it's perfectly OK to get salty over something you didn't do well on, it's also important to reflect on your mistakes and try to improve those aspects of your game. Did your poor positioning cause you to get rung out? Did a lack of practice/playtime cause you to drop some combos? Were your attacks so predictable that your opponent knew how and when to counter? etc.

Anyways, welcome to 8WR! We've got a really nice community here, so if you have any questions, just ask!
