Interview Time! Episode 4: Hyrul

Thank you for making the UK actually have a scene for Soul Calibur. I have some time off in June and July so I'll try and come to London for some matches.

1. Ha it ain't that interesting, sorry to disappoint! Malek was bored of trashing everyone with Ivy, and Scud had emerged as the dominant Ivy player in France, so at the end of SCIV Malek switched to Zasalamel, to make a fresh start with the game and try to emulate his hero Omega.

The first couple of times I played him, he didn't adapt too well to my spammy play, so I beat him in casuals and knocked him out of the pools at Gnouz. But I met him twice after and he trashed me pretty badly, I never got another set off his Zas.

2. Much appreciated good sir, though I ain't a great player yet, I would at least need to win a major, or place top 4 in three or four tournaments full of top players.

3. I think the French and American community leaders would be in a much better position to do that! All I'll say is that when I started doing events, my only rule was to encourage everybody to get about the same amount of playtime, and try to get everyone playing each other. I remember hearing about the SFIV scene and especially the Tekken scene that it was kind of like joining a club, and if you weren't one of the big boys you weren't welcome to join in. These games are supposed to be fun, so I always think it's important to respect every player who takes the time and makes the effort to show up at any session, regardless of how good you think they are at the game.

I would love to come down! However my skills are questionable.. I think I need to train myself up before considering coming down XD
