OK I wrote that post about an hour ago and I got 2 PM's telling me what a dick I am. Apparently a few here are pretty religous and didnt appreciate what I wrote.
TO CLEAR THINGS UP: If you have faith in your religion, thats good for you. Im not the one to tell you that you are wrong for believing what you believe. I dont have proof of "God's" existance or in-existance (and niether do you other than stories you have read in a very old book) But NOTHING in this world survives with out a few key things. Money and Power. If some of you that are church goers experinced the things that I did, you would have a different outlook on religion yourself. To tell someone that you HAVE TO pay 10% of your income and if you dont you are not a worthy person (in a round about way) while your family is struglling to put dinner on the table, youre an asshole. If you are going to point to the ENTIRE ward (which is the equivelent to the entire church in mormon world) that "those who are reciving church welfare such as the CARR family, must work 10 hours in the cannery this weekend" and shake your head in disgust while youre doing it, THATS FUCKIN WRONG!!!
One PM message said that I was the victim of a church that has its priorities in the wrong place and the I was indeed mistreated but that shouldnt hinder my faith in god. Maybe thats true. But as I said before, take a big step back and look at the big picture. You all have had a faith of some kind forced down your throat from a young age. When have the NEVER asked for money. And when you didnt give it you were looked down upon. I dont need some guy reading from a really old book telling me what I do in life is wrong and that Im going to go to some really hot place when I die. Im just not convinced.
I dont debate about religion. I guess I shouldve thought of that before I posted that last one. But those are MY beliefs and until some celestial being appears before me and tells me other wise......they are gonna stay!!
