Alright I think everyone has expressed their opinion on the matter at this point, there's hardly anymore that can be said....

anyways on the original topic, I would have no problem with the idea but there aren't much characters to bring back to justify doing a history game. I mean simply put them in the game but still just make it SCV. I mean there's Hwang, Li Long, charade/olcadan, and then boss characters. The boss characters make for a fun in game challenge and the classic characters will please fans. The thing is with the possibility of any SC being slim I prefer a next installment.

HRD, man this thread been done since i left my skid marks all over it. and i'm not talkin tire tracks.

on topic (finally) i gotta agree with DMan on that one. there aren't enough characters to warrant a "history" tag game... now if there was a time leap, and we had a whole new cast (like tekken 2 to tekken 3) then i can start to see a history game made.... and then have the old cast come back because they actually never died, when previously... they were dead.

d-d-ddid you just refer to Smash Bros as a fighter? The day I acknowledge that series as a "fighter" is the day I acknowledge "Barbie Horse Racing" as a racer... It may be a fighter per-se, but I think it was pretty obvious we're only pointing out competitive fighters here...where as thats a "fun-hybrid-fighter-best-played-drunk-with-all-items-on-that-Nintendo-fanboys-keep-trying-to-make-competitive-by-creating-the-most-absurd-ban-list-ever-conceived-despite the-developers-specifically-gearing-it-away-from-tournament-play" fighter.

No I don't consider brawl a fighting game, I just said I can think of a game that you can't punish on. But I will give my opinion on melee, and despite the fact that people may or may not consider it a fighting game, that game CAN be played on a competitive level. Now rather you consider it a competitive fighting game or a competitive thinking game or whatever that's on you, but reguardless how I see it, it can still be competitive.
