Hyperdimension Neptunia

I like it a lot. The battle system is pretty boring though. Combos are "customizable" but what that means is you figure out the single best combo given your moveset and spam that until everything dies. Luckily, you can skip every single animation with the L2 button. I never really cared much for JRPG battle systems, so this did not bother me at all (probably the opposite, i love the animation skipping option). If you're looking for variety though, you won't find it. You start with 3 characters, and you keep those 3 characters to the end, unless you pay for the dlc ones. At the very end of the game, you can go recruit the uber broken final characters for the true end, but that's after 90% of the game has passed or so.

The story is ridiculous....it's a really cliche satire of all the cliches that plagued the industry over the past few decades. The trio the story focuses on is pretty fail, 2 incredible idiots and the 1 smart person to keep them in check. But I like these stories so whatever.

Yeah, I didn't even play through the tutorial before I cut the game off. Not my cup of tea.
