Hi there! :D

Pocky Yoshi says hello. Pleased to meet you.

Edit: Well, we might get along. Just a bit picky with people on the mic(I'm very timid and anti-social). For instance, I just don't get all that friendly to girl gamers online for I could be talking to a 40yr old homo who lives in the basement with a voice changer. If it's real one, I only hope she isn't those "spoiled I want your attention" types. I unconditionally give it, but I hate chicks like that. However, I try to stay neutral and respectful to ones I don't like for I am a gentleman. As for friends, I'm just picky. If I like them, I'll associate. If not, I'll remain neutral and respect them for they are yours. Just don't expect me to just mingle in like I'm yours. You gotta earn my trust and make me like you a bit. While it may seem like I'm nitpicking you on the things that grind your gears with my vain self, it's not of malicious intent. Basically just testing the water before jumping in. Aside from all that, if you do things on here out of good intentions, Pocky Yoshi will warm up to you like a puppy. So far, he has a few similarities that he likes of you: j-rock, j-pop, and nyan cat. That makes me a weeaboo, but I usually am reserved and considerate to say it openly unless I feel like it. In any case, I'm done rambling and enjoy your stay. Na-mu.

-Pocky Yoshi
I completely understand your social stance on friends and women; especially the not expecting you to mingle thing. I've come to the understanding that not every needs to nor wants to buddy up to every person the come in contact with, thus, I'm very careful about mixing circle of friends. Also, if I see two people don't get along, I make efforts not to force them to hang out just because they're mutually friends with me. Fear not; should we ever start hanging out online, you need worry about being drag into large parties for "HEY, GUYS! I want you to meet Pocky-Yoshi! You guys should totally send him a friend request! :D You want his facebook??"

Tryston; very nice to meet you as well! :D

HOW DID YOU FIND OUT ABOUT ME?!

To Mr. Teksuo -

I am not exactly what Pocky described. No way. We can totally just get online and chat and...

Serious mode time:

Welcome to 8wr! There's a ton of information here to learn, so you came to the right place for that. As far as tournament players - seriously, just take the venture offline whenever you get the chance. A lot of players get stuck in this, "Oh, I can't because I wouldn't win..." or "Oh, there's no chance for me to beat them..." etc. It doesn't matter, really. The Calibur tourney scene is full of friendly players. Even if you get smashed into the ground by everyone there, they'll be more than willing to show you where you messed up if you ask them seriously.

Honestly, that's how I got to where I am with the game. I didn't really think I'd win, or really stand a chance, but just bit the bullet and went when the chance came. Suddenly the next time I played, I was keeping up with people I couldn't before. :P

Anyhow, I wish you good luck, and hope you enjoy your stay. Any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

Thank you!

As for matches, online or offline, tournament or otherwise, I have no problem getting smashed into the ground. :D If you're familiar with Bleach, I'm like Ichigo; I'll beg you kick my ass so I can get stronger and better faster. I would rather be destroyed by someone who totally out classes me and learn that I have more to learn (unless you're *actually* trying to teach me something, then I'll naturally ask that you ease up, just so I can keep up) than have that same person go easy on me and let me win. Unless you push me to my limits, I'll get past them. I don't fear being beaten, I fear not being able to progress.
