Hi, my name is shigoshi, a self appointed master of madness but to be honest that's more of a joke now than a serious thing.
As far as my soul calibur experience goes I first played sc4 first at one of my friends and discarded it as a poor fighting game which is not exclusive to just this game, I said similar things about blazblue because I couldn't understand it, then both cases, time afterwards I get bored and do some research then give it another shot and I enjoy it.
SC however was more better enviroment than research. Another friend of mine played it and once I started playing him at it I started seeing some impressive stuff (I picked knightmare to try my funny biz toe stomper and he stomped me with cervantes). So both cases with both games: I've been an ignorant idiot only to find out they are actually really fun!
My character of choice is astaroth. Nothing like smacking people around with a huge axe while throwing them around with bear hugs and backbreakers. However my friends know how to crack my ribs with laughter with all their funny characters they make and running commentary in their voices so often I can't help but ether get hit or drop a combo mid-way because I have to control myself from dying in fits of laughter.
Would personally like some questions answered:
Is there any reason why people only edit the actual character and not make their own? Is there a competitive reason or a genuine game reason for it?
Just asking because I like the scoundrel voice when it uses it's special: 'I can feel it' (I just like following up with 'are you ready for love/pain?')
And is there any tips for a noob astaroth player that may help me deal with annoying quick characters because my only real weapon outside of some grabs is the 6K?
