Hey 8WR, What's your Favorite Character and Why?

Why?

Favorite SC character? IDK... I like Cervy as a char, but I don't play him anymore. I wasn't too effective with him. I do wanna give Kilik a try. In fact back in SC1 on the DC, I played Kilik, Nightmare, and Cervy. Played only Nighty in SC2, and in 3 I played Cerv and Asta. Now I only play Astaroth.

My favorite character is Raphael, as the avatar suggests.

It started out in SC II (my first SC game). I was at a friend's house who introduced me to the game for the first time. It seemed that he would just completely destroy me no matter who I picked... Unless I picked Raphael. Granted that back then I didn't know how to play and I button mashed and spammed moves to stay alive, but having only one character you can win with goes a long way towards making them your favorite. I wasn't a big fan of Raphael's transformation into a vampire at first, but I got used to it.

Besides winning as him, I like fencing. And his arrogant personality grew on me. Now I'm just hoping for the unlikely possibility that the SC team brings him back in V! :sc2rap2:

Behind Raphael, Yoshimitsu is my favorite. I liked him in Tekken, and love him in Soul Calibur. :sc1yos1:

And Talim comes in third. I couldn't get the little emote for her because the smiley section was glitching :( But I still love her, haha. Hoping that Namco brings all three back.

And I might get around to drawing something...eventually...maybe.

My favorite character is Mitsurugi. I always loved that lone swordsman concept. Since Soul Blade, I really dig his fighting style and war cries. Everything about him is pretty hard core and cool. According to his story, he's fought every battle and had never lost, except to Tanegashima in Soul Blade. Plus in most or every movie scene, Mitsurugi is always depicted fighting multiple characters, which says allot about him as a great warrior. My favorite scene is when the dude ran up to a boat load of riflemen and archers and he took them with his sword. I may have mentioned all this in a different thread, but sharing it here seems more appropriate.

Playing as Mitsurugi, it's easy to learn especially as a first timer, and though his moves may be few in comparison, and quite predictable, it helps me to fight smarter rather than rely too much on speed and power, instead being more versatile. and making creative use of basics that can help turn the tides of any battle. As a constant Mitsurugi player, I pretty much know all his moves like the back of my hand. Not to say I'm a pro with him, not at all to be honest. But I'm fairly decent in putting up a good fight.

I have to say Kilik is also a versatile fighter, I've tried my hands playing as him, but I just feel more at home with the samurai style of fighting. Mistsu is like glove that fits me. ^^
