Hey all! I'm Bruce aka "geektacular"...been playing SC for years! I've tried lots of other fighting games, but I've never really been big into 2D fighters like SF or whatnot. I've really tried over the years, but the format is less than exciting to me, for some reason. (I tend to like Arc System games like BlazBlue, but that's about it.)

I've always been a much bigger fan of 3D fighters like SC, Tekken, VF, etc. They always felt more "right" to me, and I think SC trumps all of the rest in terms of replayability and how much there is to do in-game. I also enjoy arena fighters like Smash and PS All-Stars, as well, as those have a similar unique/3D-ish feel that I find more enjoyable.

Also, for the sake of curiosity: I'm a Talim guy primarily...and was horrified when she was nixed from SC5, ha! Having fun playing OG Talim on SC2 HDO lately, though! :-)
 
Welcome to the site, whereabouts are you from?

I used to like Talim before she was kicked out but I've always mained Ivy in every game since SC2 since I love her original fighting style although I was a little disheartened with her in SCV. It's a shame to hear your favourite character isn't in the most recent game, but I hope you can find solace in a new character.
 
Welcome Bruce. Nice to have a fresh face around here. I've been a big SC player myself. Played Talim clear up till SC IV, but I mainly played Cassandra. I too love a good game of Smash Bros. and I've played PS All-Stars, and it is pretty damn fun.
But if you SC V, hope to see you on XBL sometime. (Don't have SC games on the PS3 yet >:/)

Welcome, Bruce! Since we're both new I'm going to go ahead and add you on PSN. Just so you know, it will be a few days or a but over a week before I buy the games. See you on PSN!
