Hi! so I'm not new to SC, i played 3 and 4 but on a very casual level.I I'm not new to fighting games either, I play alot of mortal kombat, so i have a general understanding of fighting games.

I pretty much no nothing about this game, but it's alot of fun!
I want to main yoshimitsu but don't really know were to start? should i learn what is good strings are? what are some bread and butters? how and when should i punish people?

i know all of this is available to me, and I'm so for being a but lazy but i understand so little about this game i didn't think it would hurt to ask.

any help would be very much appreciated, and i hope to level up my game with all of you :sc1yos1:

Hey man! Good to see a new face, too bad it says you're on PSN, otherwise I'd ask to play some sets and help you out. Yoshi is a pretty tough character, you'll need to get ahold of his tricky just frame attacks, and get a broad understanding of his outstanding mix-ups, I'm no Yoshi expert, but that's what I was told when I tried him (Decided Nightmare was best for me) But definitely check out the Yoshimitsu 'soul arena' in the main forum directory, you can get to it by clicking the picture of Yoshi's face. Stick with him while beginning and he'll be deadly when you become adept, seeing as not a whole lot of people tend to play Yoshi, thus making him tricky to fight. Welcome to 8wayrun! Feel free to message me if you need any help, or the forum mods (they know muuuuuch more about this stuff than I do haha) Take care and have fun.

thanks alot man! and i have started picking up some stuff around hear! I know alittle bit about his mix ups, like after dragonfly ( if that's what it's called ) k into doorknocker is a low combo starter, and down, back 1 ( don't know SC input yet sorry ) is also low

I don't use Yoshi but I can tell you that the best thing for you to do is use training mode. Practice all of your moves for about two hours a time, and after a while you will see what works and what does not work. It all boils down to practice! Welcome to 8wayrun and I hope you level up quickly!
