~Heavy Rain~

Well no Jaxel, i don't believe P&C games belong on a console in any way, shape or form so i'm gonna insult it until it gets the hell back to the computer.

I don't think P&C games are love or hate, like EVERY genre of EVERY medium ever, it's all about the specific title. I liked Monkey Island i LOVE Sam & Max and the little bit of Grim Fandango i messed with looked good. But this is a nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

and it isn't FRESH ID
 
Animefreak... yes, the P&C aspect of P&C Adventure games naturally can't come to console (except for on the Wii, as shown with Zack & Wiki), but as long as the unique Adventure style of P&C games comes, that is enough. Heavy Rain is clearly showing that adventure style... Folklore was touted as having that adventure style, and it did, but it was a sub-par adventure game. I haven't played Monkey Island Tales, but I assume they kept the classic Ron Gilbert style. The new Leisure Suit Larry games, show almost nothing from their P&C Adventure roots; and of course suck, compared to their Al Lowe predecessors.

Yeah... watch the video... Heavy Rain is clearly a P&C Adventure game.
 
Figured this thread needed a revival seeing as the demo came out recently ago.

I played it and was fairly impressed but I doubt I'll get it, not my type of game tho.

I did like quite a few parts of it though, I was sad there wasn't a: 'beat hooker for information' option but it was still cool.

I played through it a few times just to get the different scenarios lol, I really only liked the fat cop mission, crime scene was boring and felt over dramatic.

Btw did any1 else get some wierd black screen with some white noise in the background then have their ps3 crash in the crime scene? Freaked me out thought my ps3 was gonna YLOD again.
 
no...i rage quit on the crime scene cus it wouldnt let me beat it.

i think i did everything backwards...idk, idc, i just quit that shit

it was fun tho, very life like
 
I DID IT FOR LOVE

Looking forward to this game actually. I went through Indigo Prophecy with friends and thought it was a blast.
