Found this in another forum and thought I'd share with you:

So the day finally came when Google's "Don't be Evil" slogan officially turned hypocritical: August 9th, 2010.

Just days after the FCC took a passive, "eh we'll get to it later" role in the Net Neutrality forum, Verizon and Google has come up with a proposal that compromises Net Neutrality. Good job, assholes.

So if you care about your internet, let it be known! This isn't the first, and it sure as well won't be the last attempt from big companies trying to compromise the internet as we know it for profit. On the bright side, we have heavy hitters in the white house who are pro-Net Neutrality (including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi), and a very active pro-Net Neutrality environment that will more likely than not prohibit that such a proposal see the light of day. Sill, that doesn't mean we should sit on our asses. The goal of these large companies is to eventually fatigue Net-Neutrality activism.

Get ready for a game of political Whack-a-mole for years to come...

please share any other articles and POVs on this matter.

Already filed my thingeh with the FCC. You know...I really wish this world would end sometimes.

ROFL. i'm all for it. i mean...i don't own the cable lines. if they want to charge extra and guarantee me better access to things, more power to them. it isn't really any different than selling higher access speeds.

+10 for capitalism
