Good/Bad Game Companies

Capcom: A-
Not the best games ever, but they actually listen to the fans. I give them props for that.

Namco: B
Great games, but too much time is put in for dumbass gimmicks over quality

Nintendo: D+
Sure the games are good, but they lose all my respect for ignoring gamers in favor for, well, nongamers.

Sega: D
Abandoning the greatness they had with the Genesis and Dreamcast in favor of dumbass gimmicks and completely ignoring fans = shit.

Aksys: A+
Unlike others, they actually know what they're doing.

Konami: B+
I haven't seen many games come from them that are actually bad. Keeping face since the days of Castlevania 1 and Turtles in Time is impressive.

Atlus-A+
I didn't mention most since they have already been said, but I think Atlus deserves some love. Atlus is one of thefew companies that really listens to fans, and they will also localize games that others won't even though it's obvious there isn't much profit in it.

I would award atlus the "best publisher" award hands down.

nuff said. so much for what was once my favorite game company

Absolutely... Atlus is one of the best publishers out there. While yes, they really don't develop games on their own, and simply ride the nuts of other developers, they fill a void. They see what games are popular in Japan, and what kind of niche audiences they would have in America. Its amazing, because none of the games they ever publish ever hit the mainstream. But they pick up titles from Nippon Ichi Software, and single handedly brought Disgaea to popularity outside of Japan. Not to mention, they had the forsight to bring DEMON'S SOULS to America! (my personal GOTY)
