Dunno, GS2 ended pretty much with a closing story, not like GS1.
The reason it took so long was because Camelot and Nintendo broke up for a while I think, or Camelot was doing more profitable projects. All I know is that I'll be glad to see and play it, even if it's total crap; I have too many good memories of that game, and it's going to nigh impossible to make it BAD if they do what they did with 1 & 2.
