Gears of War Judgement

^ this guy and his teammates have made many videos about Gears(a lot of them helped me improve in Gears 3). They are a competitive GoW team, Epic invited this guy and one of his teammates(Skyllus) along with a small group (varying skill levels and video game backgrounds) so, this guy has actually played the game.

This video (while he showing his random gameplay from Gears 3) he talks about the new loadout system among other things...

Also reveals you get to choose 1 of 5 different starting grenades. Frag, Ink, Stim(not sure...this nade heals in Overrun, medic carries them), Spotting(marks enemies from behind cover), or Smoke.

I've seen so much talk about GoW Judgement becoming like another game and losing its originality because of new features. I would like to rebuttal by saying this:
In this day and age, I am glad games are starting to conform into the general mould of what should be in a shooter and what shouldn't. Now, I'm not saying that its necessarily a good thing- taking a game and make it so that its copying another- No.

Its just there are games out there that have features that EVERY game should have, regardless of name or genre, Like killcams, and loadouts. For example, Being able to make your own playstyle more prominent in a game like Gears really is nice, to the point where you can say, "Oh, I belong in this team, because I do this."

I know you diehard Gears fan are kinda sulking about some changes- I feel your pain too! I also liked the simplicity of a GoW1-2. In honesty, I do hope they have a "barebones" playlist where you can have the standard loadout from previous games.

Thats my 2 cents, I'll be watching the progress of this game to see if it lives up to its name.

I haven't posted up in here in a while.

Um. Confirmed Versus Modes
-Free For All
-Team Deathmatch(Gone the way of a classic points based rather that elimination)
-Domination(Multiple capture points at the same time)
aaaaaaand thats it...
most sad news out of everything for me, but I've still got a pre-order for this game. The Campaign and Overrun better be bitchin! Cause only 3 VS modes? Thats whack.

OH. and if you pre-ordered at Gamestop. March 15th you get early access to Overrun. til March 18th. Playing during that time will allow you to start unlocking shit that will carry over to the full game.
This Overrun Demo will be up for everyone else on launch day, so only gamestop pre-orders can play early.
Also, Gamestop up the ante by being, so far. The only launch pre-order with a weapon skin...lemme just list pre-order bonuses below...

NOTE: ALL PRE-ORDERS COME WITH CLASSIC(6 shot burst, GOW1) HAMMERBURST.
Gamestop: Young Marcus Skin, Lambent Weapon Skin, Overrun Early Access
Amazon: Young Dom Skin
Best Buy: Anya Skin
Microsoft Store: Alex Brand(Character from the comics) Skin, 1600 MS Points
^ These are the U.S. Pre-order bonuses.

^ other places, round the world's pre-order bonuses.

I have nothing to contribute, just want to say that Overrun being what we get for the demo is incredibly sexy.

The most sad news for me was when they announced that executions were out/nerfed. That's what made Gears of War what it is, at least to me.

Every single shooter I loved in my younger days is becoming ruined. First Call of Duty, then Halo, now this.
