Gate is messing up my SF4 TE triggers?!?

So I've been having this issue with my TE stick for sometime where the 7 and 9 just go dead in spots and usually require I aim a lil inward and slam it, as well it delays a few frames anyway. I'll open the stil up, pop the gate, play with the triggers, put it back and it works fine. After a bit it repeats. Well I finally took off the gate and realized that it only happens when the gate is on. I tested the stick by holding the triggers and board with hair ties to keep it in place and it works 100%.

Currently I lost the gate since I decided to test this during a party involving tequilla...so I can't really test for myself but my big question...How and why the fuck would the gate be causing this? I'm looking at the parts and wondering how it has any correlation to the triggers registering. The stick still clicks the triggers, they just dont register when the gate is on at times. I'm currently playing with no gate while I figure this out. Any ideas?

Could it be somehow pressing on the switches in such a way that it's keeping them from springing back correctly? Dunno.

I would warn you that playing without a gate can really mess up the micro-switches tho.

ya i got lucky and found it, im still totally perplexed about this. I guess i'll have to play with it exposed and watch it till i see why. Just wondering if anyone else had issues....probably all that hard iCS slamming motions.
