I think that story changes don't matter in any way and the show should be judged on it's own merits.
Like any and all things based on a different thing.

Sooo, tonight's episode. One big thing that I don't really like is that they're changing up Arya's story. The Hound should be dying from Raff the Tickler's wound if I'm not mistaken. Although, the dialogue between the two is pretty funny. They're most likely moving Arya's story back for later in the season, like Arya abandoning the Hound in Episode 9 and then leaving for Braavos after showing the sailors the coin in Episode 10.
What do you guys think?

I'm hoping we get to see as much of them together as possible. Rory and Maisie work really well together and I find their scenes some of the best on the show, dramatic or otherwise.Sooo, tonight's episode. I was thinking, they could have them constantly hear about the Brotherhood Without Banners while on the road or going through towns or inns. It would give any watcher a reminder of who they are, especially if they mention how a new woman is leading them, Lady Stoneheart. Arya could be sitting in a bar with the Hound and she can overhear the people next to her talking about it or something lol (but only after her Nymeria dream!).I think that could be legit. Arya and the Hound not being settled in one place is an excellent way for the show to get some world-building and backstory in, and they're not deviating too much, so it's fine for me, though I can appreciate your concerns too.
It's inevitable that comparisons will be drawn, though I'm happy to see the GoT fanbase are far more accepting of the changes than the LOTR fandom.
Hoping someone has some caps of Olyvar there :P
Yeah, I didn't really know why they changed that. Cersei pretty much wanted it in the books and now Jaime looks like a jerk. Maybe he just felt that she'd appreciate him more after he finished. My only gripe with last night's episode was the change from a consensual sex scene between Jaime and Cersei to a completely out of character rape scene. Jaime Lannister, the man who said he'd beg a man to kill him than be raped if he was a woman, the man who saved a woman he didn't even like from being raped, the man who felt physically sickened by the sounds of Aerys' repeated raping of Rhaella Targaryen, the man who wanted to kill Robert for raping Cersei obviously would be willing to rape the love of his life.
DANY THO Y'ALL DAAAAAAANYYYYYYYYYY
